The formal opening, consisting of an inspection of the technical facilities and equipment, took place at the Babylon Congress Hotel in Liberec. More than 300 representatives from 25 countries of the world took part in the opening ceremony.

Construction of the new TechCenter was begun by BAK in August 2009 and handed over to the investor, Atotech, just six months later.
The TechCentrum has a total area of 1500 m², including laboratories for developing preparations for surface treatments, analytical laboratories, galvanic lines for developmental work and service testing laboratories. The new complex also includes a training center with lecture halls and administrative facilities for the company.

The regional Atotech CZ outlet thus has a stable presence on the Czech and Slovak markets with new facilities for the company which will substantially expand its support for galvanochemistry for the market segment. Customers consisting of a range of suppliers for the automobile, machine, construction and electronics industries will thus have service facilities with no equal in the Czech or Slovak Republics at their disposal.
